Osiamo LLC participated in the Brooklyn Fall Guitar at Brooklyn Bowl on September 22nd. It was a beautiful fall day in Brooklyn and an enthusiastic crowd of avid guitars came down to the event.
We once again shared space with Phil Jones Pure Sound and Xotic Guitars and Effects, we enjoyed the accolades from the consumers.
We debuted both the Dr J pedals line and Dexter the octaver by Taurus. Dr. J pedals offer the famous “Boutique” sound, construction and vibe, at a price any musician can afford. With seven pedals in the line, all designed to be musical tools, you can expand your creativity. The Dexter Octaver is first of a new series from Taurus designed for guitarists as well as bassists. Dexter is a -1/+1 octaver that tracks equally as well on guitar and bass.
Past and future Osiamo artists of the months John Bendy and Teddy Kumpel graced us with both their presence and fine demo’ing!
Thanks to all who passed by to say hello.
How long has the store been in business?
The retail store Murphy’s Music has been in business since 1969.
How long have you worked at the store?
Texas Guitar Ranch has been working with Murphy’s since 2011. I started buying and selling guitars in 1980.
Why are Mooer pedals doing so well at your store?
They are just great sounding pedals, and when people realize how great they sound and how little room they take up and the price point, they sell themselves. Our staff believes in them and recommends them to our customers.
How does the future of music stores look?
We think the future of music stores remains strong but stores have to keep on top of new technology and integrate it successfully to stay viable. And of course, we rely on support from manufacturers and distributors. Osiamo has consistently been a top notch supplier with superb products.
Biggest challenge for your store for 2013?
Finding great new products to offer our customers that keep them coming back to see what’s new. Good example… these Taurus stomp heads are amazing!
The Frankfurt Muzikmesse is always an exciting show and a great place to meet with our suppliers. This year was no exception as our musical partners unveiled many new and exciting products.
Many of our suppliers don’t exhibit at NAMM so Muzikmesse is a great opportunity for us to see new products and discuss new ideas. Richard Cocco, Taurus, and Mooer displayed this year at Muzikmess.
We are really looking forward to the next few months when these products arrive at our warehouse.
Taurus is celebrating 30 years of making guitar and bass gear this year. And to show us that they are not going to rest they are debuting several new pedals and amplifiers. You can see a short video of some of the new product from Taurus here.

Dear Guitar Lovers,
We would like to introduce to you a new version of the most portable and convenient guitar amplifier.
Stomp Head 1BL.
It’s a simplest and smallest model in Stomp Head guitar amps line. 50 watts of great sound have never been so easy to transport untill now.
More information about features and availability will be revealed soon.
For the third consecutive year www.Osiamo.com will participate in the Spring New York Guitar Show on April 7th. From 10am to 5pm @ The Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg. Admission is free and all are welcome to buy, sell and trade. Osiamo.com will display Mooer Micro pedals, Pickboy picks, R.Cocco strings and Taurus guitar and bass pedals.
Osiamo.com will occupy it’s usual position on the Big Stage and will be able to accept credit cards at this show for the first time!
Of particular interest this year will be the Taurus StompHeads. The StompHead series of amps are a revolutionary way of thinking about a guitar amp placing all the controls at your feet. The the top of the line is the StompHead 4SL featuring an analog, switchable 40/70 watt amplifier integrated into a floor pedal. The 4SL incorporates 2 x 12ax7 tubes in the preamp section and has 3 gain stages. Its big brother is the 4HG (High Gain version) which produces a more modern compressed tone. The range is rounded out by the 1BL and 3BL. Both with a few less features and power but at a more affordable price point.

Taurus have released a new video demonstration of their Stomp-Head 4.SL. Not only does the amp sound great, but it is also super compact – smaller and lighter then most pedal boards – literally putting the controls at your feet. Many thanks to Mateusz at Taurus for his excellent demonstration!
